How the limits work
Use is counted by what it costs to run, so a short question uses little and a long coding task uses more. The 5-hour and weekly windows roll: older use stops counting as time passes, rather than everything resetting at once.
Pictures, web searches, and deep research count too. The strong model has its own weekly share, so the everyday model stays available within your limits.
